Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Ashore!

Ashore exists to unlock teams’ innate creativity: finding focus in new locations, away from everyday distractions.

The below terms apply to bookings made via Ashore in our role as an intermediary platform for work-optimised rentals for corporate team stays.

We hope these terms are clear, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via hello@ashore.io.

Our role in your stay

Ashore is responsible for the intermediation work related to the rental of the work-optimised homes listed on our platform.

When you book a home via Ashore, an agreement is concluded between you and the lessor for the exclusive rental of the holiday home over the agreed period. As a result, the lessor, not Ashore, is responsible for fulfilling the agreed rental service, subject to Ashore’s obligations as set out in these terms.

Our terms of booking

By placing a booking with Ashore you, and the other members of your booking party agree to the terms and conditions set out below. To place a booking with Ashore, the lead guest must be at least 21 years of age.

The booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from one of the Ashore team, via the email address you provided us with when you booked.

The maximum number of staying guests per home is set out on the relevant home’s listing page. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times.

Payment

To secure a booking, Ashore requires a deposit of £500 for teams, or £150 for individuals. This deposit is non-refundable, except where Ashore or the lessor is unable to fulfil the booking, or if the guest exercises their right to cancel in line with our cancellation policy below.

In such cases, the deposit will be refunded in full within 24 hours of Ashore becoming aware of the issue, or the guest notifying Ashore of their cancellation.

Once the details of the stay are finalised, the remaining balance, less the deposit, will be requested by a member of the Ashore team. Alternative payment arrangements, including split payments, may be requested and are subject to Ashore's discretion.

The final payment must be made before the check-in date to ensure access to the property. Payments can be made online or by digital bank transfer, upon request. No card fees apply.

For group bookings or extended stays, additional terms may apply regarding catering and activities. These will be communicated prior to booking those services.

Check-in and check-out

By default, guests can check in and check out of Ashore homes at the following times: 4:00pm on the day of arrival; and 10:00am on the day of departure.

However, due to the nature of an Ashore stay, it is customary for Ashore to request, when booking, any alterations to these times, from the user, which it will then use its best endeavours to agree with the relevant home.

This is particularly the case on the final day of any stay, in order to fully maximise the working time available to a team staying with a home listed on our platform.

If the relevant home is happy to deviate from these times, you will be informed of this in writing prior to making your booking, and the timings set out above are superseded by that agreement.

Cancellation policy

Ashore offers a 48-hour right of cancellation for bookings with arrival more than 72 hours into the future. Otherwise, guests can cancel their booking up to 21 days before check-in and receive a full refund.

If a booking is cancelled within 21 days of check-in, Ashore undertakes to make its best endeavours to rebook the dates, and if said dates are rebooked, a refund will be given.

Depending on the availability of the home, you may be able to change the dates of your booking if the lessor agrees.

If you wish to extend, shorten or otherwise change your booking, please contact Ashore via bookings@ashore.io.

Children & babies

Many of our homes are family-friendly. If you would like to bring children and babies we still ask that you inform us before booking, and we will confirm suitability and arrangements with the host directly.

Internet usage

The internet speeds provided on the Ashore platform are based upon multiple readings taken at different times in each home. In using the internet networks provided, guests undertake to use this internet access both fairly and appropriately.

Illegal activity or use of the internet in our homes for illegal activity is prohibited.

Registration

There are areas of the Ashore site that require registration and creating an account with us. Registration involves providing a username, password and other identifiable information. You agree to keep your password secure and to ensure that only you can access your account.

By registering on the Ashore site you are agreeing to keep your password confidential and are solely responsible for all activities resulting from the use of your account.

You will not aid an unregistered user to gain access to a registered area of the Ashore site, and will not create an account for the purpose of abusing the functionality of the Ashore site.

Any claim arising in connection with this agreement shall be governed by English and Welsh law, and subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of England and Wales.
