The Setup
Communal workspace: large gathering area with a sea view. Large table and two screens for casting on via Apple TV, with a whiteboard and the rest of the Ashore collaboration kit provided too. Poly Studio R30 video bar also available upon request.
Individual workspaces: two, one on the first floor landing and one in a downstairs bedroom. Both include Apple Studio Displays, Herman Miller Aeron chairs, and the Ashore Pegg desk.
Wifi: Starlink, with an average speed of 105mbps download, 34mbps upload.
The Need to Know
Large, secluded Ashore on the cliffs overlooking Southwold. The ideal space for three co-founders or a small leadership team.
Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, underfloor heating, and Starlink internet. Plenty of space throughout, making it easy to combine team time with alone time.
A very easy Ashore to live in. Super well-equipped kitchen, plus Nespresso machine. You can either get food delivered direct, or there’s a co-op in town to pick up food from.
You can get the train from Liverpool Street (nearest station is Lowestoft), but we’d recommend hiring a car and driving up.
Pet friendly.
The Location
Southwold, Suffolk. On a cliff, overlooking the North Sea. Secluded and quiet, with about a fifteen minute walk to Southwold itself.
It’s about a five minute walk down to the beach. Several founders have confirmed to us personally that it’s a great spot for a morning cold water swim.
Perfect for walks: both straight out the door, and further afield via the Suffolk coastline. One for any W.G Sebald fans out there.
Some brilliant restaurants and pubs in Southwold itself: the Canteen and the Sole Bay Inn are great for a team dinner.
Further afield, take a half-day to find team inspiration at RSPB Minismere, Framlington Castle, or our personal favourite: Sutton Hoo.
