Welsh country house, recently restored to be the ulltimate place for teams to step back, spend time together, and think.
Five bedrooms (all en-suites), and multiple spaces (lounge, morning room, snug and dining room) to gather as a team. Large rooms, high ceilings, and lots of paintings, courtesy of some of the 20th century’s best Welsh artists.
State-of-the-art kitchen. Range cooker, induction hob, and Lavazza coffee machine. Catering available on request, and apples readily pickable from the nearby orchard.
Drive, or take the train to Chester (two hours from London), then a 15-minute taxi.
Pet friendly and perfect for team members with babies.
Clwyd Mountains, North Wales. In the middle of the North Wales countryside, yet still close to the historic town of Chester and Conwy.
Unsurprisingly, this is a great Ashore for walking. Walks up Moel Famau (555m), or along nearby Talacre beach are two great options in particular.
Some great pubs and restaurants nearby - Glasfryn (five minutes away) and The Glynne Arms are two favourites we’ve seen from the teams that stayed recently.
Alternatively track down Bonni’s pizza van which often sets up shop nearby.
If the team want to cook for each other, you can pick up local food at some of the brilliant nearby farm shops (Rhug Estate and Hawarden are Ashore team favourites), or the nearby supermarket in Chester.
For a half-day of inspiration, there are some great nearby castles (Chirk or Conwy, take your pick), or the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a great spot to sit, chat, and think.
